Photos from St Edward's College's post 🇪🇸 What an unforgettable few days in Barcelona with our Year 8-9 pupils! We explored some of Antoni Gaudí’s most iconic landmarks, including La Sagrada Família, Parc Güell, Casa Milà and Casa Batlló, visited the breathtaking mountain monastery of Montserrat, and discovered the stunning Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau. Learning about Catalan history at the White Rabbit was also really fun and interactive. The trip finished with an action-packed day at Port Aventura, while daily visits to the beach gave everyone the chance to cool off in the sea after sightseeing in the summer heat. A fantastic trip full of culture, adventure and memories. Our pupils were a credit to the school! 59 Likes

☀️ A fantastic day in the sunshine at Lancaster University!
Our Year 12 students enjoyed an inspiring visit, including a lecture on university life and a guided campus tour. It was a great opportunity to experience what studying at university is really like, ask questions, and explore the beautiful campus.

Photos from St Edward's College's post 🎣 The first fishing trip from St Edward's to Sefton Park was a fantastic success. All the students were exceptionally well behaved and were a credit to St Edward's throughout the day. They showed great enthusiasm while learning new skills, including how to rig up correctly and change baits, helping them gain confidence and improve their angling knowledge. They also showed great respect for the environment by making sure the fishing area was left clean and tidy before they left.
Although the fishing was slow, pupils remained patient and were rewarded with some fantastic catches. Dillon landed two beautiful common carp weighing 10lb and 6lb, both giving strong fights despite the slow takes. Fraser had an unforgettable moment when he landed a huge 25lb catfish, one of the biggest fish in the lake. After a slow take, the catfish gave him the hardest fight he has ever experienced, taking around 10 minutes to bring safely to the bank. All the fish were caught on 15mm wafters.
Although Shea, Toby, Will, and Jude didn't manage to catch a fish this time, they stayed positive, kept learning, and gained valuable experience throughout the session. Every angler blanks from time to time (Mr Lewtas and Mr Rodgers more so), and with the skills they learned on this trip, there's every chance they'll be landing fish on the next outing.

After more than 30 hours of travelling, our students have safely arrived at Camp Tarawasi, spending their first night in Cusco before making the journey to camp.
The group has already toured the camp and visited the local village, where they will be working on a range of community projects to help improve the local primary school. They rounded off their first evening with a movie night and are now ready to get started on what promises to be a rewarding and unforgettable experience. 32 Likes
