Photos from St Edward's College's post 🤝 Year 12 student, Adam, has been volunteering with the Alfie's Squad charity which supports children, young people and families bereaved by suicide. The team were invited to Parliament by Riverside MP Kim Johnson to meet other MPs and professionals to discuss the support that they provide. This was particularly pertinent as Suicide Prevention Day was this week.
Adam met various MPs and representatives from other agencies such as Merseyside Police, the LFC Foundation, Public Health Liverpool and the Premier League. He had a tour of Parliament and even got to see the broom cupboard where suffragette Emily Wilding Davison spent the night of the 1911 census as a demonstration against the fact that women didn't have the vote! It was a really informative and enjoyable day. 27 Likes

Photos from St Edward's College's post 🎶 Well done to Old Edwardian, Dylan McCaig on his recent achievements. During his time at St Edward’s, Dylan served as Head Chorister and Junior Organ Scholar at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. In 2024, he was also recognised with a Silver National Teaching Award.
Dylan has recently received the Royal School of Church Music’s inaugural Young Church Musician Award, recognising his outstanding contribution to church music. The Banbury Early Music Festival (BEMF), which he founded and co-directs, has also been shortlisted for 'Audience Project of the Year’ at the prestigious REMA Early Music Awards 2026, placing the festival firmly on the European early music map. Dylan will discover whether BEMF has won when he attends the awards ceremony in Bruges, Belgium, this November. Congratulations, Dylan! 42 Likes
