Head Boy & Head Girl Welcome

L-R: Max M, Justin J, Dominic M, Helen M, Daisy J, Sofia MB and Trinita O.

My name is Dominic, and I am honoured to serve as Head Boy of St Edward’s College. I am currently studying A-levels in History, Government & Politics, and English Literature, and hope to continue my education at university. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the school from Year 7 to Sixth Form, and I have always believed in the importance of being a true Edwardian both inside and outside the College.

I have pursued this through multiple extracurricular activities, proudly representing the school in sports teams and concerts over the years. Having benefited from many opportunities, I am committed to giving back by making a positive difference across the college community.

My personal faith plays an important role in shaping how I treat others, valuing compassion, understanding, and respect. As Head Boy, I hope to be an approachable and inspiring leader, strengthening the connection between Sixth Form students and younger pupils. I would always encourage anyone to feel free to come and have a chat, with myself or anyone else in the prefect team. Together, our prefect team and Sixth Form can help maintain a supportive atmosphere and ensure the Edwardian experience is one everyone treasures, now and long after their school years.

I am proud to represent the school as Head Boy and look forward to working with the prefect team!

My name is Helen, and I am extremely delighted to announce that I am Head Girl at St Edward’s College. I am currently studying Biology, Chemistry, and Music, with the aspiration of pursuing a career in Medicine at university and becoming a doctor. This interest has been inspired by the many opportunities St Edward’s has given me, and I continue to strive forward with the encouragement of my teachers.

Since starting at the school in Year 7, I have always embraced the role of being a true Edwardian. At the beginning of this journey as a chorister, I was fortunate to become a member of the school choir and orchestra, developing as a musician while making lifelong friends and memories. Outside of my studies, I enjoy Pilates, singing at the Cathedral as a cantor, and spending time with family and friends.

As Head Girl, I am committed to demonstrating leadership and enthusiasm in this role with professionalism and maturity. I aim to be someone younger students can seek guidance from and look up to as a role model. No matter the circumstances, I am here to support them. I hope to inspire the younger generation to embrace opportunities and pursue their dreams, knowing that their efforts will one day be worthwhile. My goal is to use my enthusiasm and charisma to spread positivity throughout St Edward’s by leading by example and representing our school with integrity.

I look forward to working alongside the talented Head Prefect team to make our school the best it can be!

My name is Justin, and I am grateful to have been selected as Deputy Head Boy this year. I am currently studying History, English Literature and Politics, and I would like to study law at university and then go on to become a solicitor. When I am not in school, I enjoy going to the gym with my friends, playing football, singing and watching shows and films. Music is what got me into St Edward's, and I have been honoured to have the opportunity to be a part of the school choir and orchestra, which has allowed me to create unforgettable memories.

From Year 7, St Edward’s has helped nurture me to become the person I am today and has allowed me to meet amazing people and experience great opportunities, and as Deputy Head Boy, I want to be able to help the younger students have the amazing experience I continue to have and develop the student voice so that they know how vital they are to the school as Edwardians.

I am excited to work alongside the amazing prefect team and help them achieve great things and make a positive difference to our school.

Hi, my name is Daisy and I'm incredibly delighted and honoured to represent the school as Deputy Head girl.

Ever since my first day of Year 7 at St Edward's I have been completely dedicated to everything I've been involved in, whether that be; the choir, sports, friendships or lessons. This has made my experience here truly incredible, I have loved every minute of it and have made memories for life.

I am currently studying A Level English Literature, Music and Psychology. I am so passionate about music and want to pursue a career in it. I've been a member of the school choir since Year 7 and I'm now Head Chorister. I love performing and I'm so grateful to have been given the opportunity to perform in prestigious cathedrals in both Barcelona and Venice, with the choir.

Being an Edwardian and following the schools values has enabled me to come out of my comfort zone and shaped me into the person I am today. I would really love to be a mentor to you and would be glad for you to approach me if needed. I am always looking for ways to improve and would love to take your ideas onboard and work together to make a positive difference to the school community. I can't wait to start this new role and be completely committed to supporting you.

Hi, my name is Trinita, and I am delighted to be serving as Head Sacristan of St Edward’s College this academic year!

I am currently studying A-level Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology, with aspirations of pursuing a career in healthcare at university. I joined the school in Year 7 as a member of the Metropolitan Cathedral Girls’ Choir, where I later became Deputy Head Girl. Throughout my time at St Edward’s, I take part in a variety of extracurricular activities, including orchestra, where I play the flute, and choir. I also represented the school in sports competitions such as netball, hockey, and athletics.

Outside of school, I enjoy baking, listening to music, watching movies and series, and spending time with friends and family. I am also actively involved in my parish church, where I serve as Head Altar Server, Cantor, Eucharistic minister, and Liturgical Reader, as well as organising the psalmist rota and hymns. These roles have helped to develop my sense of responsibility and leadership.

Attending St Edward’s College has enabled me to develop a strong commitment to the religious life of the school, which I am proud to continue in my role as Head Sacristan. I value the opportunity to represent the school’s faith at events beyond the College, demonstrating its importance within our community. Through this role, I aim to contribute to a welcoming and respectful environment for all members of the College, while upholding and promoting the ethos of St Edward’s.

I look forward to working within the Senior 7 and our prefect team to make the school the best it can be!

My name is Max and I am both proud and delighted to be given the role of deputy head boy. Through my role in prefecture, I hope to galvanise students into pouring themselves into academia and the opportunity it can (and does) offer. I currently study A level English Literature, Geography, and Politics & Government.

I am a huge advocate for extra-curricular activities within St Edward’s and implore students to treat them with significant value. Through my role, I hope to provide a personable and approachable element to the Senior Seven, whereby members of the student body will always have a mouthpiece through me.

I will treat any and all opinions and concerns within the school community with utmost respect and am grateful to be a part of a team that can make concerns and opinions heard.

Hi my name is Sofia, being chosen as Deputy Head Girl is a real honor, and I'm incredibly proud and excited. It means a lot that the school sees my potential to lead and make a positive impact. I'm looking forward to working with the other senior prefects to make our school even better. This role is a chance to give back to the community that's given me so much, and I'm ready to take on the responsibility and help create a supportive and inspiring environment for everyone.

I'm particularly excited about the chance to serve as a role model, guiding younger years as they navigate their own educational journeys. Being a Deputy Head Girl means being approachable, supportive, and always ready to lend a helping hand. I want to foster a sense of community where everyone feels valued and empowered to achieve their full potential. It's about creating a space where students can thrive, learn, and grow, not just academically but also as individuals.
