Trips and activities away from the classroom are important moments in learning; a shared social experience that provides the opportunity for pupils, students and teachers to encounter and explore novel things in an authentic setting.
During a pupil’s time at St Edward’s they will be able to enjoy a variety of day and residential trips designed to enhance their learning experience including:
Year 7
- Salter’s Chemistry Festival
- Rugby squad trip to watch local rugby league match
- Visit to the Philharmonic to watch a concert
- Netball squad trip to watch England netball team
- STEM Big Bang Exhibition
- Languages & Sports trip to France (6 night residential)
Year 8
- Languages & Sports trip to France (6 night residential)
- Science trip to Florida (6 nights)
Year 9
- Ski trip to Italy (4 night residential)
Year 10
- History trip to the battlefields of Belgium and France (4 night residential)
- Geography trip to Snowdonia (1 night residential)
- Art and Design Technology trip to London museums and landmarks (2 night residential)
Year 11
- Study revision sessions at local universities for various subjects
- Geography trip to Isle of Arran (4 night residential)
- French and DT Textiles visit to Paris (3 night residential)
- Senior Sports Tour for rugby, netball, hockey and basketball squads
Lower Sixth
- Study revision sessions at local universities for various subjects

Upper Sixth
- History and Politics trip to Washington DC, USA (5 nights)
